Excursions That Matter: Bringing Joy and Mobility to Our Seniors

Los Angeles, May 14, 2025 - Thanks to a meaningful collaboration between Butterfli, ALA, and generous support from Los Angeles Urban League-Honda LNT, six seniors experienced the joy of independence through four local excursions designed just for them.

Residents of Hale Morris Lewis Manor, a Home under the ALA umbrella—were transported to Walmart for an essential shopping trip. While a trip to the store might seem routine to many, for these seniors, it was a treasured opportunity. The joy on their faces said it all: Access matters, Mobility matters, and Dignity matters.

In response to ALA's call, Butterfli acted swiftly to make these outings possible. But the journey doesn’t end here. Upcoming trips will include visits to the California African American Museum, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA), and the Culver City Shopping Mall—further expanding access to culture, connection, and community.

Together, we're proving that small efforts can lead to big smiles.
